Se inicia la mejora de la vía TF-82, entre Santiago del Teide e Icod

La directora de Carreteras y Paisaje, Ofelia Manjón, explica que la rehabilitación se efectuará en tres lotes y que ya se han iniciado los trabajos en uno de los tramos.

El Cabildo de Tenerife ha invertido una partida de más de 3,2 millones de euros en la mejora de la carretera insular TF-82, entre Icod de los Vinos y Santiago del Teide. Las obras se ejecutarán en tres proyectos diferentes y tienen como fin rehabilitar el firme e incrementar la seguridad en esta vía.  La directora insular de Carreteras y Paisaje, Ofelia Manjón, explicó que ya se han iniciado los trabajos del primer lote, que tienen un presupuesto de 950.000 euros y un plazo de ejecución de dos meses. Se trata de la mejora del tramo comprendido entre Erjos, en el municipio de El Tanque, y Santiago del Teide, cuya empresa adjudicataria es la UTE AMC Construcciones y Contratas 2014 S,L.  y Constructora de Proyectos y Obra Civil 2012 S. L.

Manjón explicó que el proyecto consiste, principalmente, en la rehabilitación del firme, la mejora de drenaje y la restitución de los elementos de seguridad y señalización. Asimismo, señaló que se trata de una obra importante debido a la elevada cantidad de vehículos que a diario circulan por la vía para desplazarse entre el norte y el sur de la Isla.  Apuntó que los trabajos se están realizando principalmente en horario nocturno, de domingo a jueves, para reducir las molestias a los ciudadanos.

La directora insular puntualizó que en estos momentos se está trabajando en la rehabilitación del tramo entre Santiago del Teide y el cruce con la vía TF-373, a la altura de Erjos (El Tanque), pero a lo largo del mes de noviembre empezarán las obras de los otros dos tramos previstos de la TF-82. Se trata de la mejora entre los p. k. 2+500 y 7+300, a su paso por los municipios de Icod de los Vinos, Garachico y El Tanque. Este proyecto, que fue adjudicado recientemente por el Consejo de Gobierno del Cabildo a la empresa Viales y Obras Públicas S. A., tiene un presupuesto de 1,3 millones de euros y un plazo de ejecución de cuatro meses. También este mes está previsto el inicio de la rehabilitación del firme entre los p.k. 0+207 y 2+323, en Icod de los Vinos, por parte de la empresa Viales y Obras Públicas S. A. Este proyecto cuenta con una inversión de  1.032.000 euros y un plazo de ejecución de seis meses.

Estas actuaciones forman parte de un plan general de mejora de firme de carreteras insulares que, con una inversión estimada de 79 millones de euros, se ejecuta desde 2016 y está contemplado en el Marco Estratégico de Desarrollo Insular (MEDI) del Cabildo de Tenerife y cuenta para su ejecución con presupuesto del Fondo de Desarrollo de Canarias (FDCAN). Este plan incluye 60 actuaciones de rehabilitación del firme en carreteras insulares. Este plan en carreteras insulares se suma la mejora del firme en carreteras regionales (autopistas) que suponen una inversión de 20 millones de euros adicionales.
