“Tenerife, una isla abierta al exterior” fomenta las vocaciones científicas a 870 escolares

Los centros CEIP Aguamansa e IES Marina Cebrián se proclaman ganadores del III Desafío Tenerife 2030 denominado ‘Tenerife, una isla abierta al exterior’.

El Cabildo de Tenerife, a través del área Tenerife 2030 e  INtech Tenerife, y el Gobierno de Canarias, a través de la Consejería de Educación y Universidades, han celebrado hoy [lunes 20] el III Desafío Tenerife 2030 denominado “Tenerife, una isla abierta al exterior” en el que han participado 870 escolares pertenecientes a 15 centros escolares. La iniciativa está dirigida a centros escolares públicos no universitarios con el fin de fomentar las vocaciones científicas en las áreas de ciencia, tecnología, ingeniería, artes y matemáticas desde un enfoque multidisciplinar. Para ello se promueven proyectos centrados en la innovación, la creatividad y el diseño en la búsqueda de soluciones a problemas; impulsando la innovación y el uso de las tecnologías de la información (TIC) e implicando al alumnado, profesorado y familias en el desarrollo de proyectos educativos.

El acto contó con la presencia del presidente del Cabildo, Carlos Alonso; el consejero del área Tenerife 2030 del Cabildo, Antonio García Marichal; el viceconsejero de Educación y Universidades del Gobierno de Canarias, David Pérez-Dionis; y la gerente de INtech Tenerife, Coqui García. El primer premio en la categoría de Educación Primaria fue para el CEIP Aguamansa y su proyecto Botánica Virtual. Los alumnos podrán disfrutar de un paseo y una excursión nocturna con luna llena por las minas de San José, en el Parque Nacional del Teide, y una jornada nocturna de observación astronómica.

Por su parte, el premio de los centros de Secundaria, Bachillerato y Formación Profesional fue para el IES Marina Cebrián y su proyecto Sport CID. Los ganadores disfrutarán de un viaje a Barcelona del 3 al 5 de julio para conocer la incubadora de empresas con mayor base de Innovación de Europa: La Salle TECHnova.

El III Desafío Tenerife 2030 contó con la participación de 47 proyectos divididos entre los 15 centros participantes de la isla de Tenerife: IES Magallanes, CEIP Aguamansa, CEIP Santa María del Mar, IES El Sobradillo, CEIP Ramón y Cajal, IES Los Cristianos, IES Geneto, IES Viera y Clavijo, IES Profesor Martín Miranda, IES Teobaldo Power, IES Marina Cebrián, IES La Orotava-Manuel González Pérez, CIFP Las Indias, CEIP Miguel Pintor González, CEIP Luis Álvarez Cruz. Además, se celebró en paralelo una Feria de la Ciencia, organizada por la Universidad de La Laguna, a través de su Fundación General y Ciencia ULL. La actividad es desarrollada por INtech Tenerife y está cofinanciada por el Marco Estratégico de Desarrollo Insular (MEDI) del Cabildo y el Fondo de Desarrollo de Canarias (FDCAN) del Gobierno de Canarias y cuenta con la colaboración de Plátano de Canarias, Tirma, Libby´s y Fuente Alta.

La finalidad del III Desafío Tenerife 2030 es promover las competencias en innovación de los y las estudiantes a través de un programa de aprendizaje activo basado en proyectos; identificar, experimentar y desarrollar las habilidades que faciliten al alumnado la elección de su carrera profesional; visibilizar y educar en los valores vinculados a la innovación de fomento de la actitud emprendedora, el aprendizaje colaborativo, el trabajo en equipo, la tolerancia al error y el fracaso, el pensamiento creativo, crítico e independiente y la tolerancia a la diversidad.

El Cabildo y el Gobierno de Canarias tratan de potenciar el uso de las TIC y de los espacios virtuales de aprendizaje desde un enfoque integrador de estas herramientas, metodologías, recursos y contenidos educativos. Además, se implica al alumnado, profesorado y familias en el desarrollo de proyectos educativos encaminados a la actualización metodológica para el desarrollo de competencias, particularmente la competencia en comunicación lingüística, la competencia matemática y competencias básicas en ciencia y tecnología, la competencia digital, así como el sentido de la iniciativa y espíritu emprendedor.

Premio vocaciones en emprendimiento: Contenedor inteligente, APP Control Residuos del CEIP Santa María del Mar (equipo) y Los Sabores del Alisio del CEIP Santa María del Mar (gran grupo)

Educación Secundaria.-

Premio vocaciones científicas: Sport CID del IES Marina Cebrián (equipo) y Megatech del IES Profesor Miranda (gran grupo)

Bachillerato.-

Premio vocaciones científicas: OTDF del IES Geneto (equipo)

Educación Secundaria, Bachillerato y FP.-

Premio vocaciones en emprendimiento: Juegos y Memes del IES Teobaldo Power (gran grupo)
